Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit delny.org or get in touch through it. It's written in plain language — if anything's unclear, use the contact details below.
What this site collects
This site does not use analytics or advertising scripts, and it does not require an account or login. The only personal information collected is what you choose to give it, in one of two ways.
The contact form. If you send a message, the site receives:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Whatever you write in the message
This is used only to reply to your enquiry — about commissions, tuition, workshops, or anything else you've asked about. It isn't used for marketing, added to a mailing list, or shared or sold to anyone else. Messages arrive in Delny's business email inbox (see Google Workspace below).
The newsletter signup. If you subscribe, your email address (and your name, if you give it) is added to a mailing list, and you'll receive occasional emails about new work, workshops and news. You're only added if you sign up yourself, and every email includes a link to unsubscribe at any time. Your details aren't shared or sold. You can sign up on this site, or on a sign-up page hosted by MailerLite itself (for example, from the QR code at events); that page is run by MailerLite and is covered by its privacy policy.
Third-party services this site uses
A few outside services are involved in running this site, each only for the specific job below:
- Formspree — processes contact form submissions and delivers them by email. See Formspree's privacy policy.
- PayPal / Stripe — if you buy something through the shop, payment is handled entirely on PayPal's or Stripe's own site. This site never sees or stores your card or payment details.
- Netlify — hosts the website. Like any web host, it handles each request for a page, so it may record technical information such as your IP address and browser type in its server logs. See Netlify's privacy policy.
- Google Drive / Google Sheets — used behind the scenes to hold artwork photos and page content (gallery, events, shop listings, news posts). Your browser fetches both the photos and the page content directly from Google's servers when a page loads, so Google can see your IP address and browser details for those requests, as it would for any Google-hosted content.
- Google Workspace — provides the delny@delny.org email account. Contact-form messages, and any emails you send to Delny, are held in that mailbox.
- Cloudflare — registers the domain name and runs its DNS (the address book that tells browsers where delny.org lives). Your visits to the site don't pass through Cloudflare.
- MailerLite — powers the newsletter signup form and sends the emails you opt in to receive. Nothing is loaded from MailerLite until you click "Sign up for the newsletter". At that point its script loads and stores an identifier in your browser so it can recognise repeat visits and connect a signup back to your visit. If you subscribe, MailerLite stores your email address (and, if given, your name) so it can send you the newsletter. The form may also use Google's reCAPTCHA spam check, which has its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. See MailerLite's privacy policy.
Cookies
This site itself doesn't set cookies, and just visiting it doesn't store anything about you with MailerLite or anyone else.
The one exception is the newsletter signup form. If you choose to open it, MailerLite's script loads and may store an identifier in your browser (in a cookie or similar browser storage) to recognise repeat visitors for its own tracking purposes. Google's reCAPTCHA, which the form may use, can also set cookies. You can clear these at any time in your browser's settings. No other tracking or advertising cookies are used.
The site's fonts are hosted on the site itself, so loading them doesn't involve Google or any other outside company.
How long information is kept
Messages sent through the contact form are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
Newsletter subscribers stay on the mailing list until they unsubscribe. After that, the address is kept only on a "do not email" list so you aren't contacted again by accident, unless you ask for it to be deleted completely, in which case it's removed entirely.
Your rights
If you're in the UK or EU, you have rights under data protection law (UK GDPR / GDPR) to ask what information is held about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. To exercise any of these, get in touch using the details below.
